AT&T has send a private document to all of it’s storeholders stating that it will be no longer possible to take a iPhone 3G home and activate if from home. The new enforcing policy will force users to sign a contract in both the Apple and AT&T stores. The number of iPhone that a customer can buy is still 3!

AT&T has a listing of a black iPhone on there management site. Not much information is available but you can select either the normal iPhone or a black iPhone. Wether this is a human error, or if we will soon see a official Apple statement of the iPhone, that remains the question.

Rumor number 21232341234123123……

AT&T, The U.S. exclusive iPhone partner of Apple, will lower the price of the new 3G iPhone to a very minimal 199$ some sources say.

AT&T is preparing to subsidize $200 of the cost of a new iPhone, bringing the price down to $199 for customers who sign two-year contracts, the source says. Apple is expected to have two versions of the new iPhone, an 8-gigabyte-memory and a 16-gigabyte-memory model with price tags widely expected to be $399 and $499.

So says the Techland blog on the CNNmoney.com site.

According to Fortune, AT&T’s going to further subsidize the iPhone down as much as $200, making the final retail price a scant $199 with two-year-contract. The rumor is that the $200 bonus will only be available in AT&T stores, not in Apple stores, so people buying and exporting or using it with T-Mobile will be paying the higher price. Current first-gen iPhone users probably won’t get this $200 subsidy when upgrading either, unless perhaps they renew for another 2 years. Fortune’s source also says that the phone will have GPS and be 2.5mm thinner, not thicker as previously indicated. And you’ll know when the new phone is coming—Apple will cut off shipments of the old phone in order to clear up inventory and give a subtle hint that you should wait before buying.
