AllThingsD reports that Apple will unveil its next iPhone at a special event on Sept. 10. However, it is unclear if the event will focus on the upcoming iPhone 5S or Apple’s rumored low-cost iPhone “iPhone 5C?” or both. The rumored low-cost iPhone looks similar to the iPhone 5 in shape and size but has rounded edges, slightly thicker and will be available in a range of colors. Apple has just informed developers that all of their developer services are now online. Some of Apple’s services have been down for over 3 weeks, making it impossible for developers to launch new iOS apps, log in to the member center, use iTunes Connect and more Apple services. Apple has just released the fifth beta version of iOS 7 to developers for testing purposes. The update is available as an over-the-air update to existing beta testers and it can also be downloaded via Apple’s Developer Center. In Beta 5 the Settings menu have seen a complete design, Control Center’s settings now allow the function to be turned off while in apps, the Twitter icon has been redesigned, the icons that are displayed while a user is in a call have been slightly altered and some other small changes have been made. » Apple Released iOS 7 Beta 5 to Developers
Nokia has launched a new advertisement comparing the company’s Lumia 925 to the iPhone 5. The ad focuses on the phone’s photographic capabilities and is based on Apple’s well known “Photos Every Day” commercial, which began running back in April. It uses a similar voice over and style, focusing on Lumia users taking photographs with their devices. Mac Otakara has released a brief video that allegedly shows the front panel and back shell of the iPad 5 assembled together for the first time. The rear shell appears to have a transparent or translucent logo.
