iPhone developer Return 7 has difficulties to bring out an updated version of CastCatcher to the App Store. Apple rejected the update because the radio app is using too much bandwith in comparison with other radio apps. The old version remain available through the App store.

Apple has posted its latest TV advertisement for the iPhone 3G. Titled “Dilemmas,” the spot continues Apple’s recent trend of highlighting only one app in each commercial, with this particular ad highlighting the Urbanspoon application and its feature which lets users shake the device to get recommendations on local restaurants. The new ad is now available for viewing on Apple’s website.

Peter Hosey, a developer that worked on projects like Adium and Growl, has created a reference site listing all of the apps that has been killed by Apple. The list contains apps like Nullriver’s NetShare, Noah Witherspoon’s Tris, and Almerica’s Podcaster.

After quite some time Apple finally decided to lift the iPhone developers NDA. This is great news and I’m pretty sure that due to the lifting of this NDA, some developer will be more then happy to teach other people how to code for the iPhone or iPod Touch. CNN is reporting that Apple may close it’s very successful iTunes music store soon. The reason for this is a new dispute by the Copyright Royalty Board in Washington. The Copyright Royalty Board is planning to raise the royalty’s that online music stores should pay them. This raise will off course be payed by us the users and not the distributors (Apple, Amazon, etc). Apple doesn’t like this change and therefore they are threatening to close down the iTunes store.
