Google has released a preview of a new developer toolkit, which makes it possible for developers to easily bring their Chrome web apps to iOS and Android. Saurik has just announced Cydia Substrate for Android devices and is now available in Google Play. Right now, this is all experimental with only with the only packages available being ‘WinterBoard’ and ‘Recommended Packages’ and will not look anything like the iOS version. To install Cydia Substrate you will need to root your Android and it has been tested by developers on Android versions from 2.3 to 4.2. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has introduced a new home screen experience for Android devices and HTC CEO Peter Chou announced a new HTC First phone. Home is new software available for Android devices and makes everything on your phone friendlier. “From the moment you turn it on, you see a steady stream of friends’ posts and photos. Upfront notifications and quick access to your essentials mean you’ll never miss a moment. Facebook has invited members of the press to an Android-related event on April 4, and TechCrunch reports that the event will likely see the debut of the long-rumored Facebook phone.
