iAlert is a new app from a new Zealand development group.
The app is doing something that the iPhone should standard have, it plays a mp3 every 5 minutes for any missed call or sms.
It’s currently on version 0.2 and it has some bugs.
- It only works on firmware 1.1.3 and 1.1.4.
- When you’re iPhone goes in sleep mode, the alert doesn’t sound.

The app looks promising, but as for now you can’t do very much with it if you’re phone is going into sleep mode.

Navizon is quite a nice tool if you’d like to be traceable everywhere ..
I personally still prefer to have some privacy once in a while. But with all the tools that are coming out for my iPhone i notice that getting a little bit privacy is increasingly getting more of an exception.

Today I’m going to shortly review the game Cubicman, the principle is the same as loo, you get a block and you need to place it onto the lighted field.

Cubicman is at version 0.0.2 for the moment and it has some nice features.

The Wikipedia web application lets you easily read, search and browse Wikipedia articles right on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The application formats the articles perfectly for the iPhone’s display, and evenallows you to save articles for off line viewing.

The latest build of iPhone OS 2.0 (5a258f), now available to developers who have been accepted into Apple’s $99 iPhone Developer program, includes a feature dubbed “Import SIM Contacts” that presumably does as its name implies, extracting contacts stored on the SIM and copying them to the iPhone’s internal storage. Theoretically, this would allow SIM cards pulled from other phones to have contact information transferred to the iPhone permanent — assuming the cards came from the same carrier.

This task could previously be accomplished with some jailbreak applications like “SIMport,” though with mixed results.

It seems that Apple is about to go nose-to-nose with Walmart in the playground. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the company is poised to announce a deal with a bunch of studios to sell new releases on iTunes the same day as the movies’ release on DVD.

The studios thought to have signed on Apple’s dotted line include Fox, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, Sony Pictures, Lionsgate and New Line—all of whom have a rental deal with iTunes. Smaller houses, such as Magnolia and Image Entertainment are included, but MGM is out of the picture.

AT&T, The U.S. exclusive iPhone partner of Apple, will lower the price of the new 3G iPhone to a very minimal 199$ some sources say.

AT&T is preparing to subsidize $200 of the cost of a new iPhone, bringing the price down to $199 for customers who sign two-year contracts, the source says. Apple is expected to have two versions of the new iPhone, an 8-gigabyte-memory and a 16-gigabyte-memory model with price tags widely expected to be $399 and $499.

So says the Techland blog on the CNNmoney.com site.

Reponame isn’t a new app, it has been released some time ago but today an update appeared in the installer.
So i thougth it might be time to give this little app a review.
So what does it do?
If you need a repository of a app or game, just type in the name and reponame will find the repository for you.
I like the app, but i noticed some minor little issues.
It doesn’t always gives you the original repository, so you will never be sure you’ll have the latest version.
For ex all apps from the skrew source, are according to the app on different repos.
Not that this is a big issue, but i like my app’s to be the latest versions, so i will not chose to use this app for now.

There has been some rumoring about a anti virus app for the iPhone and iPod Touch from McAfee.
I’ve been following the discussion and some say it’s real and other say it’s fake.
I know that kapersky is already working on a good anti virus solution for our beloved devices, but i haven’ heard anything from McAfee yet.

Nevertheless, i found a new repo that supposedly contains 2 apps from MacAfee.
One program is the Antivirus and the other is McAfee Stinger.

I haven’t installed them so i can’t show you the full information.
However i can show 2 screenshots and give you the repository.
