The person that downloaded the 50th billion download will be awarded a $10,000 gift card valid for App Store, Mac App Store, or any other iTunes Store content. Saurik has just announced Cydia Substrate for Android devices and is now available in Google Play. Right now, this is all experimental with only with the only packages available being ‘WinterBoard’ and ‘Recommended Packages’ and will not look anything like the iOS version. To install Cydia Substrate you will need to root your Android and it has been tested by developers on Android versions from 2.3 to 4.2. The CharityBuzz auction for “coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook at Headquarters in Cupertino” has just ended with a final bid of $610,000. The bid has been placed by somebody known only as “a********s.” and CharityBuzz will not release the name of the high bidder. The winner of this auction is entitled to a 30–60 minute meeting with Cook at Apple headquarters on a mutually agreed upon date.
Bill Gates “the founder of Microsoft” was interviewed by Charlie Rose on this week’s edition of 60 minutes, in the interview he talks about his relationship with Steve Jobs and their final conversation before Jobs passed away in 2011.
Gates grew emotional as he recalled visiting Jobs just before his death. The billionaire welled up as he described their last conversation, which he described as “forward-looking.”
“He showed me the boat he was working on,” said Gates, “and talked about how he’s looking forward to being on it, even though we both knew there was a good chance that wouldn’t happen.”
