MPG 1.0.4 3G phone in May?
May 12

I’m very happy to announce this little app.
Docs is a a front end for locally stored documents on the iPhone so that you can read them easily.
It’s very similar to “Wild Eyes” app except it’s better because with Wild Eyes, you must install a local web server such as apache or lighttpd. And i know that a lot of people had some serious issues with these.

Let me show you how to use this fine app.

1) Open your installer and search for the 1.1.3/1.1.4 Safari Patch and install it.

2) Reboot your iphone or iPod touch and go back to your installer and locate + install DOCS

3) Fire up your sftp application (WinSCP or FUGU) and drop some documents you need to carry with you in a directory.
ex: /var/mobile/Media/myDocs
A guide to copying files on and off your iPhone can be found here.

4) Now launch the DOCS application, navigate to your created folder (/var/mobiles/Media/myDocs) and tap “save default” to make this the default folder that will load each time the app loads. Select the doc and you will be taken right to safari with the doc loading.

This is a very good and simple app to use. I’d recommend this one to everyone !

This little app is available in the Installer.app through the BigBoss packaging source, see our sources page.

Enjoy

Love Docs but for some reason my excel files won’t completely load. They open, I can see them, but the “Loading…” overlay never finishes. I can even resize the document in the background, yet it still says “Loading…”.

      I’m running 2.0.2. What’s wrong??
