Yesterday i brought you guys the news about the release of the xPwn 0.2 binaries. It didn’t take very long before some developers started to create a windows version of the PwnageTool. Today merely some hours later, a new developer called Neiluj1493 (who’s 15 years) release a his xWinPwn application.
The application almost has all the functions that you find in PwnageTool (for MAC). The app has been developed in visual basic and to use it you must place the firmware file in the installation directory. xWinPwn currently only supports the first gen iPhone and the iPod Touch, but the iPhone 3G will probably not take too long.

1. How to use xWinPwn 0.2

1. Extract it in a folder.
2. Copy the original iPod Touch firmware .ipsw file in the program folder and rename it to “iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw” without the quotes for the iPod touch or renamed to “iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw” for the iPhone 2G.
3. Run xPwn.exe
4. Be sure that iTunes and all his processes are not running and that the iPod is disconnected.
5. Click on “1. Create custom IPSW” A terminal should appear and building the IPSW.
6. When the terminal disappear, click on the “2. Start Pwnage” button and follow the instructions.
7. Enjoy

hi gays its working fine i tray it in 2 2g 8gb iphone its very esy
I have been trying it this morning, but havent finished updating since for some reason it will not use the custom logo I put in bundles. So if that ever works out I will tell you.
Does this unlock 2g aswell? the readme just says it will be jailbroken.

You just need to download already patched 2.0 firmware for your iphones and simply restore it using iTunes 7.7 like any other firmware.
It will be jailbroken and unlocked. Did it 5min ago without using any tool.

That will only work if you have not already upgraded to 2.0. If you have, you much uninstall iTunes, reinstall iTunes 7.5, restore to 1.1.4, pwn your iPhone, upgrade back to 7.7, and restore once again to a custom 2.0 firmware.

That’s exactly what happens to me. I gave up after about the 5th try.
i guess i have no choice but to install leopard and then windows
leave the “i.p.s.w” off the end

After you unzip XwinPWN to a folder copy the 2.0 software to the same folder. The file must have the following name: iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw if not rename it.

Very important to set DFU mode…no restore mode!! it is not the same
Need help fully step by step..never have i jailbroke my phone so i dont know what half of this means…what is a install directory and stuff…i know i am running on 2.0 software the original one and i just want my iphone to be free like everyone elses…also i have windows xp…i feel dumb but yall seem like nice people to help out some one who has no clue…so please step by step and what i need…thanks.

ok guys LISTEN VERY CLOSELY…..if youre on 1.1.4 and you’re look’n to get to 2.0 and b FREE AGAIN you must do a few preps b4 you do so…if you already accidently restore or updated to 2.0 u have 2 downgrade again…..then follow these steps im about to explain to u…in order to downgrade and erase ur baseband just google it or use this tutorial (http://sleepers.net/news/?page_id=216) i used when i ran into the same problem….
OK…the easiest way to do this is when you’re on 1.1.4 use the old PwnageTool for mac or use WinPwn for windows to Pwn ur iphone…follow these steps on this tutorial (http://iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=957 ps you dont have to download the stuff from step 3 and 4 just d/l and extract the program and place the itunes.dll things in the folder and follow directions from there) to do so but DO NOT restore to the custom 1.1.4 firmware just make sure the programs informs you that your phone is Pwned….(the definition of Pwned is allows you to restore custom ipsw files on your iphone through itunes without any problems)
LAST use this program xWinPwn to create the custom 2.0.ipsw file once its created put ur iphone in DFU mode….follow this tutorial to do that if you dont know how to (http://sleepers.net/news/blank/dfu-mode/) and ctrl+restore and select the custom 2.0.ipsw file that xWinPwn created…of course after the dreaded time it takes for ur iphone to do everything it needs to do in itunes VIOLA ur on 2.0 jailbroken and unlocked….

yes, xwinpwn realy beats all other programs. I get it right for the first time. only the problem is exchange server mail and calender crashes all the time. Any help please. thanks.
