It is official, Apple started sending out invitations for its September 12 Media Event where they will announce the iPhone 5. If you take a look at the shadow in the picture above you will clearly see a “5”, suggesting that Apple’s next iPhone will indeed be called the iPhone 5. The media event is scheduled for next week Wednesday, September 12. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern. Some days ago GSM Israel posted a video showing a physical iPhone 5 mock-up which was found at the IFA 2012 consumer electronics show in Berlin. The mockup was created by a case manufacturer to test early case designs on the upcoming iPhone.
