Apple has just released iOS 4.2.1 GM for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad to developers. After iOS 4.2 GM was released to developers, we expected Apple to release iOS 4.2 to the public soon after that. After a second iOS 4.2 GM for the iPad and iOS 4.2.1 GM, no one knows anymore when Apple will release iOS 4.2 to the public. Parallax is a new tweak in the Cydia Store that enables you to select a background that will scroll behind your icons on every page. You can change the scroll speed but you need iOS4 to use Parallax. You can get this tweak from the Cydia Store for $1,49 via the BigBoss repo.

Yesterday Apple Released iOS 4.2 Gold Master For Developers and it turns out Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 can jailbreak it. All you have to do is point redsn0w to the 4.1 IPSW instead of 4.2. If you are planning to jailbreak, make sure to uncheck the Cydia box, because many apps “including Cydia” need to be updated for 4.2. Unlockers should stay away.

Apple just released iOS 4.2 Beta 3 for developers, we don’t know “yet” what bug fixes or new features are included in this new Beta but we will keep you updated if there is anything worth mentioning.
