In the tech world, you can always spot a hot platform by the number of first-time entrepreneurs swarming around it, hoping to get a head start in a new market. And in the frenetic scramble around the iPhone, few newcomers are as energetic as Jonathan Zweig, founder of Los Angeles-based Jirbo, a mobile games start-up that boasts a toothy gerbil for a mascot.

Apple product head Greg Joswiak responded questions regarding the iPhone firmware 2.0. The first question that everybody wants to have answered is ‘Why isn’t there cut and paste?’ Apple has a priority list of features, and they got as far as they could down that list with this model, Joswiak answered. In other words, they don’t have anything against cut and paste. They just judged other things to be more important.

Personally i would never do this, as i love my iPhone. Blending a high-tech piece of equipment is according to my standards NOT cool. But Tom does prove that his BlendTec blender is a hell of a powerfull blender. If you love your iPhone 3G i wouldn’t watch this video as you might get a hearth attack.

As it’s the holiday season again i would strongly urge you to not buy a iPhone in China. The story goes, the father of a member off the forum of Macrumors is already reporting very well made cheap imitations. His father brought back 3 iPhones from China. Once the member received it he was trying to get them synced with iTunes, but iTunes didn’t recognize the iPhonies. After some testing the user opened a new thread on the forum to ask for some help.

The iPhone community sources have been updated to version 3.86. Version 3.86 just changes the BigBoss repo again. BigBoss had quite some issues last week with his domain names. If you still cant download anything from the BigBoss repo i suggest you refresh the sources a few times, as it has been known that 1 refresh just doesn’t fix it.
