A Swedish website showed a YouTube video about the TomTom Carkit. It’s a hands-on video that gives you an impression of how the carkit looks like. From the looks of it, it works very smooth. The iPhone clicks in real easy and you can easily switch to landscape mode and back. It turns 360 degrees, so you can’t really force the movement.
Still searching for the right GPS navigation application? There’s a lot of choice: TomTom, Navigon, iGo and probably more. But maybe Sygic is the app you need. It reduced the European price to €59,99. And a new update came in that polished the app nicely. There seems to be no lag anymore.
Navigon had an update last week and introduced text-to-speech and iPod controls. They have a new feature for their iPhone application: real-time, crowd-sourced traffic. But they will ask 25 dollars for it.
Navigon update 1.2 is now available in the App Store. As we’re waiting for TomTom to release their big update, Navigon is once agian just quicker then TomTom.
All About Phones reports TomTom will release more than one update, for the iPhone navigation software application, this year. TomTom promises to add a lot more functionality and an update of the databases of the app.
Two minutes and seven seconds. That’s how long this promo video is. TomTom released their navigation software almost a week ago and we are still waiting for the price and the release of the TomTom CarKit. The video shows the CarKit and its features.
We have been waiting for a long time. They were the first to introduce us to turn-by-turn navigation software. They are probably the last people to make this software available in the App Store. I’m talking about Tom Tom ofcourse. The software can now be downloaded through the App Stores of U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. But will it be worth the money?
