Today i received a mail from Eric our friend who created iSlsk, and boy he does have some really awesome stuff for us. His latest project is called PwnPlayer and it will be a full replacement for the standard iPhone and iPod Touch music player. The reason why he created this player is cause firmware 2.X doesn’t allow him anymore to import the downloaded music tracks from iSlsk. Here’s the full story and a video:

Our older readers will remember the application Band from Moocow Music. It also was one of the applications Apple showed on the WWDC. I already wrote some extensive reviews for the application when it was released in the jailbreak installer some months ago. You can read all of the information about band here. The developer has lowered the price off the application to be in the same price range as his other 2 popular applications Pianist and Guitarist.

Some of you may experience some issues after updating Cydia and installing or de-installing applications. The error you may see is Mobile Substrate Safe Mode. According to Saurik it has to do with Winterboard and the update of Mobile Substrate in Cydia. This was needed to get many applications compatible with firmware 2.1.
