Kevin Rose from Digg has a respectable reputation when it comes to ruining Apple’s new-product-in-the-pipeline-secrecy with his ridiculously accurate predictions. He now has his sights set on iPhone 3.0, and says that there will is a copy-and-paste function (that the iPhone has so sorely lacked until now), but still no background apps. So let’s take a look at these two features:
Google this week has just updated its Google Image Search interface for Safari on the iPhone. It’s finally starting to shape up as a rugged web app now. The
main interface sees changes to the labeling of the images: gone are the long, useless original URLs and image titles. Now, all that’s left are the plain pictures themselves, smartly tiled to fill the iPhone’s small yet seemingly spacious display.

I’m not sure how many people are aware of the local RSS feed reader in Safari on the iPhone/iPod touch. This service sort of lags from the old. Mac service, and I have no idea why Apple has not yet updated it to reflect and integrate with the MobileMe service.

Rip-Dev is back. Some days ago they announced a new product that will work kinda like the app store. The application called Installer App will have the posibility to download packages from Cydia and Installer straight to your desktop and then sync them to your iPhone or iPod touch. Website ubiqkom has released an updated version of the typing on the iPhone using a Bluetooth keyboard video.Both the keys and the display are in camera focus at the same time, iPhone is in Airplane Mode (so WLAN is intentionally off here) and it uses a simplified mechanism for key event injection (so there is no VNC running on localhost icon any longer).
