biteSMS has been updated to version 2.5. The current update include a lot of new functions , like landscape mode and the ability to insert your current GPS location coordinates etc…The general release is expected next week.

The following news is totally unconfirmed but it appears as Cydia will soon receive it’s own app rating system. the screen shot after the break shows us package Winterboard 0.9.2600-1 and next to it you see a star which indicates that it will be possible to rate applications in cydia.

With iLocalis you can control your iPhone and manage it from your computer connected to internet. You can also view where your friends are, send messages between you and your friends, be notified if one of your friends is near you and so. If your iPhone has been stolen you can track it down with the track feature or even make a remote call or SMS to see the new number if the SIM has been changed.

SBSettings is a BossPrefs replacement available in Cydia via the BigBoss source. It is a simple app and it doesn’t add an icon to the springboard. All you have to do is swipe the status bar and a box will slide down the screen with info about your iPhone and also thing in which you want to toggle. More info and screenshots inside.
LockDockBar is a mod available in Cydia. What it does is puts a dock just above the main slide on the lockscreen and it has four icons in the dock. The four icons are: Phone, Mail, SMS and Calendar. All you do is tap one and it opens that app. Screenshots inside.
Eric Casto has released his follow-up application to iSlsk, MewSeek. MewSeek is much like iSlsk, as in it uses to the P2P network to download music and files.
