AstraWare the publishers of very popular mobile games like Bejeweled and GTS World Racing. A new game has been released in the App Store called Golden Skull. Golden Skull is a gem-based match-three puzzler. The games takes place in Mayan ruins, and you have to tap on groups of gems to make them disappear, while uncovering coins to collect.

CyberSaurus 3D by DarXun Games was a game that has been released into installer quite some time ago. Today i found out that CyberSaurus 3D has now been ported to the App Store and firmware 2.0. The App Store version of CyberSaurus 3D does have some changes compared to the Installer version.

The developer of Enigmo, (one of the first games to be released for the iPhone and iPod Touch) Pangea Software has announced a seven-day price promotion, selling the game for $5.99 instead of $9.99 in the US. The price for the UK has been lowered to £3.49 and this untill next wednesday.

Rockingpocketgames is a new company that is specializing in developing iPhone and iPod Touch games. Their first project that they’ve announced is a 2d helicopter shooter called Blue Skies. The game will have some nice features although the price of 9.99$ does worry me a bit. Check out the rest of the features after the break.

ThinkMac Software has announced iKana touch, a new application for learning Japanese hiragana and katakana on your iPhone or iPod Touch. iKana touch features flash cards with stroke animations, spoken sound clips and example words. It offers a speed recognition test and a writing test to aide memorisation.

The developer of Tris the very popular free Tetris clone received a notice from the Tetris company that he’s violating the Copyright of the Tetris company and therefore the Tris application will be removed from the App Store on the 27th August.

Funky Punch is a upcoming fighting game for the iPhone in the App Store. Funky Punch is being developed by Solus Games and it will be available for all major computing platforms according to their site. No release date has been made public just yet. One thing that strikes me when i watch the video below is the fact that the controls are on-screen. Much like our favorite emulators from ZODttd.

Canadian Developer Luke Gladding released Ledger, his finance application for the iPhone and iPod touch through the iTunes Store. The new money management application allows users to track their funds like an accountant. Users can record purchases, transfers, loans and more as well as export account balances and transactions via email.

Pangeasoft the developers of the popular iPhone games Cro-Mag Rally and Enigmo announced a new upcoming iPhone game called Billy Frontier. They describe it as follows: Billy Frontier is a space cowboy who’s mission is to rid the galaxy of alien outlaws. cyan the developer fo the immer so popular Myst game announced that they are currently working on porting Myst to the iPhone. The older gamers will probably remember this game. Myst is a graphic adventure video game designed and directed by the brothers Robyn and Rand Miller. It was developed by Cyan Worlds, a Spokane, Washington-based studio, and published and distributed by Brøderbund. The Millers began working on Myst in 1991 and released it for the Macintosh computer on September 24, 1993; it was developer Cyan’s largest project to date. Remakes and ports of the game have been released for Microsoft Windows, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Jaguar CD, AmigaOS, CD-i, 3DO, PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo DS by publishers Midway Games, Sunsoft, and Mean Hamster Software.
