The Wall Street Journal reports that Steve Jobs has been focusing almost exclusively on Apple’s much-anticipated tablet computer since his late June return from a medical leave of absence for a liver transplant. Apple asked for a new patent, regarding sending messages and files while on the phone with someone. The patent is named “Auto Messaging to Currently Connected Caller”. Sending text messages, e-mails, documents and contact information will be possible while two phones are connected.

Navigon, the first navigation software for the iPhone, will receive an update one of these days. The application will be updated to version 1.2. It seems to be a little bit too coincidental to release an update so soon after the release of the TomTom application.
Apple is going to investigate incidents of the exploding iPhones in Europe, Reuters reports. Apple believes that those incidents were isolated incidents and there’s they don’t think there’s a general problem, a spokesman of the European Commission says. Apple is working on gathering more information to find out what may have caused the explosions.
