Apple’s media event is just three days away and the launch of new iPhone hardware likely two weeks away, the first people already starting to line up at the company’s flagship Fifth Avenue retail store in Manhattan. It is a tradition for people and companies to start early lineups, frequently done as promotional stunts to promote brands while they wait. However this is the first time that campers arrive even before Apple has announced anything.

Two representatives from Cincinnati-based SellYourMac arrived on the scene today, only to find that they were not the first people in line at the Fifth Avenue store.

Apple’s media event will start on Tuesday September 10, and according to the rumors the launch of the iPhone 5S and 5C will start on Friday, September 20.
