The Re Remote Control is a universal remote control for the iPhone and it works via infrared. The device must be attached to the underside of the iPhone. The iPhone then transforms into a remote control. You don’t need Wi-Fi. The necessary application can be downloaded via the App Store for free.

Re is being build by New Kinetix and can be used in combination with a television, hifi installation, speaker-system and even digital photo frames. But the devices must be supplied with an IR-remote control. It is unclear when the devices is available for purchase and what the price will be.
