app_storeThe approval system of Apple has been in the news this year more often then previous years. According to the complaints the system is slow and developers don’t get any insight at all. Many developers had to wait weeks (sometimes even months) before their application was finally approved and showed up in the App Store. To give the developers some insight and a little bit more bearable, Apple made a tracking system which shows the steps to follow before the app gets approved.

Developers can look on the Dev Center website to see if their app says ‘Waiting For Review’ or ‘In Review’ and when the app is finally ‘Ready for Sale’. With each status you can also see the date and time:

There are more then 100,000 applications in the App Store and lots of developers constantly trying to come up with no cool and handy stuff. It becomes more and more important for Apple to keep a good relationship with the developers and customers. With more then 6 million downloads each day, the community is the source of the goldmine that we call the App Store.
