Minigore is a highly popular game and great fun too. Mountain Sheep, the developers of the game, has had some trouble with the Apple approval system. After the launch of their game they immediately submitted episode 2, but after 2 months it’s now finally available.
Minigore is a shooter game where you play as Mr. Gore and shoot Furries. There are a couple of different Furries, like the mini Furry, normal Furry, giant Furry and the fire Furry. You have a normal handgun, but sometimes a crate appears which delivers a shotgun. You can also pick up clovers. After you’ve collected three clovers, you turn into an angry Bull that can destroy the Furries by running over them.
The update was rejected twice due to some bugs. I guess third time’s a charm. This is what is included in this first update:
“Furry Sense, a third health with a headband, automatic save and restore of game state, two achievements (expert and insane mode), giant firefurry, normal firefurry, new death animations, new sound effects and voice acting, minor gameplay fixes, major bug fixes, OpenFeint 2.1 and a drastically improved shotgun.”
Although the major bugs are fixed, there are still some bugs that need some attention. First of all, when you flip the screen orientation in the options menu, the game will crash. To fix that, you need to reinstall the game. And second, if you don’t enable OpenFeint when it first offers, you also need to reinstall the game to get the prompt again.
We can expect a lot more amazing stuff in future episodes, since Mountain Sheep intended to release periodic updates like with Pocket God. Episode 3 will contain the Boss WormWolf and improved Furry Sense as well as a grenade for Mr. Gore. Episode 4 will connect everybody by adding the C0-op multiplayer over Bluetooth option and Wi-Fi with Enviro-Bear, Lizzy from Sway and Evan Hsu.
