appstore-400001

Normally it takes Apple a lot of time to approve an application or an update for it. When the App Store was first opened it took Apple only 3 days to approve an app. Later it became more like 8 days before an app was approved and now it seems Apple needs almost 2 weeks. It must be frustrating for developers. I check the udate page on my iPod and iPhone every day (sometimes several times). Yesterday, before I went to sleep I did that again, but no updates. I just woke up and ofcourse immediately checked. And to my amazement there were 15! updates all at once. Does Apple just collect all the approved updates and puts them online all together?I thought, let’s share the updates I received:

  • Super Yum Yum: new link to their upcoming game Super Yum Yum Retro and some bug fixes
  • Pocket God: episode 20 now gives the pygmies the ability to make a campfire and roast fish (or pymies :P)
  • Defender Chronicles: is now OS 3.0 ready, rupports iPod Music Playback, gives you the ability to email a friend whil still in the game, there’s a new difficulty level and there have been some bug fixes
  • MotionX Dice: this app has had optimizations and bug fixes for iPhone OS 3.0
  • Besiegement: sound fix for OS 3.0
  • Turbo Subs: also bug fixes
  • UniWar: you can now listen to your own music while playing, there’s also a “QUICK PLAY” 3 minute online play mode, you can view a player’s profile, there are map fixes, players can be skipped when their time runs out and many more
  • Units: this update brings major usability improvements and adds a couple of new things along with bug fixes
  • Lock ‘n’ Roll: the banner ads have been removed and you can now access to the MobaMingle avatar game community
  • Cluedo: graphical updates and stability enhancements
  • Sentinel: Mars Defense: bug fixes, game shutdown speed improved, performance optimizations
  • Airport Mania: First Flight: french language support added
  • The Creeps: iPhone OS 3.0 compatibility
  • BlocksClassic: bug fixes
  • Sentinel 2: Earth Defense: OS 3.0 iPod Music Player added, two new missions, quicker to replay failed missions, reduced download size and bosses on map 4 now use all three paths.

Wow that’s a lot. I have a lot of games on my iPod and iPhone but I never expected to get 15 updates at once.
