“Remote: has been given an update by Apple. It’s now version 1.3, available for both the iPhone and the iPod. Till now you could use Remote to control iTunes on your desktopcomputer. With the arrival of version 1.3 the control of Apple TV’s is greatly extended. There’s a new Control-menu added which shows some sort of a trackpad on the screen. You can use this trackpad with your fingers. It can be compared with the trackpad on the newest MacBook Pro’s.

To use the software you also have to do a software-update of the Apple TV. Version 2.4 of the Apple TV Software adds support for the Remote app.
