Yesterday we posted a topic about the unlocking of the OS 3.0 firmware. Later that day the Twitter account MuscleNerd gave a demo of this unlocking procedure. The new name of the unlock is called UltrasnOw and the demo is posted below.UltrasnOw is able to unlock every version of the bootloader as well as the baseband, but you need the latest OS 3.0 firmware in order to make it work. UtrasnOw will probably be released on June 19th this Friday via Cydia.
During the Qik-demo, MuscleNerd first told a background story about the previous yellowsnow method and why that method doesn’t work with the newer baseband anymore. Than he showed that his locked iPhone 3G with iPhone OS 3.0 and an American T-Mobile SIM (T-Mobile is not the official provider of the iPhone, that is ofcourse AT&T) can be easily unlocked. There wil be no need for Terminal-command for endusers because ultrasnOw will be released through Cydia, according to MuscleNerd.
Nothing was told about the upcoming iPhone 3GS during the demo, but the iPhone Dev Team will probably wait until the phone will be available. During the demo video MuscleNerd didn’t speak about the first iPhone, but he later updated his Twitter page with the necessary information.

If ultrasnOw will be released through Cydia,Does that mean you do not download version 3.0 on your iphone first,you use your iphone to load ultasnOw first on your jailbroken phone then go from there? What if your iphone is not already jailbroke?

So I guess you need to jailbreak it first, then load utrasnow.
