Making the screen bigger wouldn't be a problem, it would be one of the biggest gaffe's Apple could possible make with the iphone.

As a developer, the beauty of the phone is that my app will work on the original, the 3G model, as well as the new one. To make a bigger screen means I now have to create 2 versions of my app, which adds quite a big headache to the development process of already developed applications.

The development of apps will be strained slightly already by the fact that the new iphone will have beefier system specs, so if i want to take advantage of its better CPU and more RAM, I'll have to leave the older phones in the dust to do so. But thats a much more natural problem.

New iphone will not have a bigger screen.
