Three and a half weeks from now, on Monday June 8th 10:00 a.m., Apple will kick-off the Worldwide Developers Conference with their keynote address. Phil Shiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, will lead the keynote. Steve Jobs will hopefully return in June.
This year people are very anxious to see the OS 3.0 for the iPhone and OS X Snow Leopard for the Mac. Besides the two Operating Systems, Apple will probably also introduce its new iPhone. Together with OS 3.0, the new iPhone will introduce more than 100 new features. There are rumors that there will even be a price drop for the iPhone. It is unclear whether this price drop is for the current iPhone or the new one. Let’s hope the latter.
Other rumors circling around the web, suggest Apple will introduce a new device with a 5 megapixel camera. Although it’s more likely the Macbooks will be upgraded with such a feature.
Apple has been releasing new beta versions of the OS 3.0 software the last couple of weeks, with version 5 being the latest version. The new SDK also offers new features which will give developers the chance to come up with some exciting new ideas for games and other applications for the iPhone.
