Skype for iPhone has been live on App Store and you can make voice calls only when you’re on Wi-Fi network in the 2.2.1 firmware, and restricts making call on 3G.
But, 9to5Mac reports that it’s working fine in the 3.0 firmware. This may be due to beta version is not much restricted as 2.2.1 is.
Now, this a good reason to risk and upgrade to 3.0 beta.
