However, iPod Touch users will be charged $9.95 for the update. and down side is some of the new features like A2DP stereo Bluetooth and MMS would not be available in 1st Gen iPhones because of hardware limitations.
Tethering is not yet announced for iPhone OS 3. During Q&A session tethering question was addressed by saying: We’re supporting tethering in the client side, we’re building that support in. We’re working with our carriers around the world. We are building that support in.

Hey there !
A friend gave me a link to trial the beta ‘developers’ release of the 3.0 software.
I installed it to my phone via itunes, and now it won’t let me activate it because I’m not a developer (screen said in itunes). My phone is locked on emergency calls only.
Can anyone please advise where to go from here?
Thanks in advance,
Scottie
