Earlier today i reported that the App Store has hit over 20.000 app’s and that most of these are actually not worth downloading or playing. Well today i found something new. A startup company called ICS Mobile is readying the release of their location-based iTag Live game for the iPhone. So what’s up with this game? Think about fragging in real life but not with a gun but with the iPhone Camera + GPS.

The game is a location-based game of high-tech tag, where players use their iPhone’s GPS feature to find opponents, and the camera to tag them – while chatting to the rest of their team via voice conference calls.

It will feature up to eight players that will be able to compete in individual games,just think off team eliminating games like Unreal.

To get a idea on how the game will work the developers have put a bunch of YouTube tutorials online.

Features will include Facebook Connect integration, personal and team rankings, ratings, more weapons and armour, “accelerometer activated grenade throws”, ranked games and private rooms, and more game formats – including a ‘free for all’ mode.
