Monopoly comes to the iPhone/iPod Touch. This game has been around for many years, and its fun every time you play it. But how is it gonna be on the iPhone? Is the interface going to be as good as really playing it? How simple will it be to play? Can anyone just jump in and understand whats going on? More information inside!

According to iTunes This is the Here and Now Edition. Well, when you first open it your presented with the Main Menu. Which has these options, Play Game, Wifi Game, More Games, Options, Help, About, and Statistics. After you hit Play Game, you are presented with this menu, saying New, Resume Game (if you’ve already started playing) Load, and Back. In New Game mode you see the Game Setup Menu, just customize your game and get started. Now after you set such things up as Choosing a Table, you can play. When you play the game Mr. Monopoly will give you a short tutorial on how to play. The interface is so brilliant, when your character moves places it is animated. Now when you land on a property, and you reject the land you go straight into a auction mode, This game is so fun! i suggest getting it :)

this game is one of the best game I played on the iphone.
it was so addictive that I couldn’t sleep until 5am for 4 days.

I ended up deleting the game bcs it was taking away too much of my time.

    it’s a must play game.

I haven’t been able to get this game to play on my iPhone for the life of me. I download it, install it and then try to open it. I get the Monopoly splash screen then it immediately crashes back to the home screen after about 1-3 seconds.

I’ve tried reinstalling it, putting my phone in safe mode, setting 755 permissions and even some cacamame solution some user in the app store reviews said worked for him. NOTHING has worked. This also includes me trying to completely reboot my iPhone. That didn’t work either after installation.

If you look at the app store reviews lots of people are having this issue. So, I have given up on it. Maybe if EA releases another version that one will work for me. In the meantime this really pisses me off.

      For the record I’m running firmware 2.2 on a 16gig iPhone 3G.

Nevermind. It works now. Might I add that this is a pretty nice iteration of Monopoly. I hope they add the classic version in an update.

I think I will pass on this until it is cheaper and it has some other versions (such as the classic) available. I have the classic Monopoly on my GBA so I am not in such a hurry to get this.

Is this game worth the $8?

I agree…i would rather play ‘classic’. The auctions get old.
