i got my iphone 3Gs from USA so dose anyone knows if it’s gonna work with Vodafone egypt SIM card or not; please help and fast reply couse I’ll heading to egypt soon.

Can anyone help. I bought my iphone 3G in the beginning of jan. 09 and updated to 2.2. Now, I’ve tried two different ways of jailbreaking 1) downloaded quickpwn (windows) Quickpwnsaid succeded and said to wait for phone to restore in newly modified state, phone displayed apple logo and would turn off and vibrate every few mins over and over 2) downloaded firmware and quickpwn and got an error (don’t remember what it was, think it was wrong firmware) but the one it finds without browsing for and the downloaded one are the same. Haven’t restored to new iPhone setup and tried yet. Doing so tomorrow. But any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

So I just moved to Europe from US, I was able to cancel my At&t and now I have an iphone 3G which has no service. What is the best way to sep up the phone so I can use it now in Hungary with a new provider?

the iphone 3g is already unlocked if ou bought it for $. You dont have to unlocked it.

So, Is there a way to Jailbreak and still have hope in a near future software unlock for a 3g if it is brand new from the apple store preloaded with 2.2 and has never been jailbroken. or am i sol.
