Santa’s Workshop is a game available in the App Store. The game involves helping Santa in the workshop by putting toys on a conveyor belt after the elves have made them, load the sleigh by taking the toys off the conveyor belt and putting them in buckets to complete the list and finally to deliver the toys by flying over houses and dropping the toys into the chimneys. When you first open the app you come to a main menu with the options:
- Play – Takes you to another screen with what game you want to play.
- Scores – Shows the high scores of the three different game types.
- Options – Lets you change the game’s settings.
- Help – Instructions on how to play.
There are three game types for you to choose from when you tap play.
Workshop: bascically what you do is help the elves out. There are 6 tables with elves sitting at them. They make toys and expect you (Santa) to carry the toys for their tables to the conveyor belt. The only thing is that if you don’t take the toys off them quick enough they throw the toys off the floor and destroy them. This can only happen 10 times otherwise it is game over. The misses left is displayed on the top right of the screen.
Load Sleigh: what you have to do is take the toys that you put in the conveyor belt off and them you put them into the bins at the bottom of the screen. You have to put coal in the naughty bins and the other stuff into the bins to complete the Christmas list on them. What you do is walk over to the conveyor belt by tapping next to it and it will pick the item on it up if you are close to it. Then once picked up you can either swipe the screen to throw the item into the bins or you can walk over to the bins and put the items in. Also reindeer will walk in front of the bins and they knock you over if you are close to them.
Deliver Toys: you get to fly Santa’s sleigh over houses and drop the toys into the chimneys. To move around the screen just hold it and drag your finger around and to drop the toys just tap the screen. You have to land the toys into the chimneys otherwise they fall to the floor and get destroyed. Beware of things in the sky getting in your way.
In the options menu you can control the sound, music, vibrate, control and you can clear the highscores. And in the help menu you can find everything you need to know on how to play the game.
