Many of us remember the instant messaging and VoIP application Fring from the 1.1.4 jailbreak community. Well, it’s now come to the official App Store with much of the same features, but a much more polished look. It is available as a free download in the App Store. Link to download is inside.
Fring features:
• VoIP (Voice) Calls over WiFi
• Instant Messaging
• Integrated dynamic contact list
with real-time contact availability
• SIP integration
• Multiple Connection types
It also works with Skype, MSN, GoogleTalk, AIM, Yahoo, Twitter, and ICQ. Fring also supports SkypeOut and SIP. This allows you to make calls to mobile phones and even landlines; although, some charges may occur depending on your plan. It also should support the new iPod Touch, since the iPod has support for an external microphone.
Fring is available via this link. Update: The official link doesn’t seem to be working on iPhones and iPod Touches at the moment. I will update when the link is working. However, the link does work on the computer.

why is there a zero on the badge for Fring, how do you get rid of that
@davep: do you have Backgrounder installed? if so, upgrade it and the zero should disappear
Using Gtalk add-on I was unable to call, then let my friend call me.
He was unable to hear my voice even though I could hear him.
