App Store – Iconfactory releases Twitterrific Cydia/Installer: KeyVib
Sep 07

Arstechnica is now reporting that Apple may release more than just a new iPod nano, despite their earlier beliefs. Most of what they say is coming also agrees with what we have heard from Kevin Rose.

(from a friend of theirs “close to the situation”) First they believe that the new iTunes 8 will will be launching alone side the new iPod. Second, and perhaps more exciting, is the long awaited iPhone firmware 2.1 release. But with the usual updated GPS and push notification server we have been expecting? Not just that but maybe a little but more.. they say that there is also expected to be a few more unknown goodies waiting for us that Apple purposefully removed from the seeded betas to keep them hidden from the world. This is one thing that does not agree with what Kevin Rose said, that the iPod firmware 2.1 would be released on the 9th and that we would see the iPhone version shortly afterwards. I personally do not believe they will release the iPhone 2.1, but that they will keep everything focused on the iPhone. What do you think?

well, let’s see what people are missing the most:
      - copy & paste
      - video function
      - better auto correctur
      - mms (not really)
      - push function

or maybe they bring up their own gps navigation system?!

iphone/ipod 2.1 at the same time.. propably.
but it wouldnt surprise me if they do it like Rose predicted it.
      Server load, bug fixing, etc.

mms functions would be nice so that the iphone can be technologically compatible with peoples 5+ year old handsets.

yes, but MMS is fading away since email has more abilities and is more flexible.

its like when Apple removed the disc slot from the computers… now, ppl dont even remember the times with it :)
