xWinPwn beats WinPwn to it Cydia/Installer MacMan (Pacman clone for the iPhone firmware 2.0)
Jul 24

WinPwn 2.0 has been officially released. More info will be posted later as I am posting this from my iPhone and am without a computer at the moment. Important note: Uninstall WinPwn 1.0 first. Installing 2.0 over 1.0 will cause problems. Download links after the break.

I’ll try to update the beginners WinPwn guides later today. They don’t differ that much so the old tutorial should give you the heads up.

I have just tried this and it just keep failing at “rebuilding root file system”.
Looks like there might be a bug or two.

can anyone tell me how to put my iphone into DFU mode? is that just recovery mode?

Turn your phone off and make sure it is plugged into the computer. Hold the home button and sleep button at the same time for exactly 10 seconds. Then let go of the sleep button until iTunes says it recognizes an iPhone in recovery mode.
