12o clock european CET the App Store became live. You can already buy some of the applications but installing is not yet possible. The application on the iPhone still has some stability issues. In 5 minutes the app crashed about 5 times. Maybe this is due to the high traffic going to the site. In the application you have 3 buttons, new, what’s hot and categories. On the bottom of the screen you have 5 buttons just like the iTunes application: Recommended, genres, Top 23, search and updates.
When you have found a cool application that youd like, press on the FREE button (for free apps) or on the Button with the price-tag. Then it will change into a green install button. Once you select the install button the iPhone will ask you to give your iTunes username and password (you only have to do this once.).
After you have installed hte application, it will pop-up as a new icon on your springboard. Below this icon you can see a loading bar which will change into installing after a few seconds. You can only start using the applications after the download has been completed.
Users can review the applications and give them a score. You can also send a link to your friends with your favorite applications.
