mobistar announced the iphone 3g today. As expected the prices are high. The 8gb version will cost 525€ and the 16gb will take 615€ out of your savings account. The iphones will be sold unlocked and without any contract. Mobistar has a full 7.2mbit hspda network that will support the iPhone 3g. The iphone 3g will be sold exclusively in mobistar centres and at Apple premium resellers starting from 11th of july. Mobistar also announced several tarif plans for use with the iphone 3g.
Ranging from 30€ to 60€ and for two years.
Mobistar also annnounced a Iphone 3g portal in belgium. Fully customizable to your own wishes and it will bevinstalled by default on all iphone 3gs. For this mobistar partners with the Belgian press.

It’s nice to know that belgians are going to offer a unlocked iPhone 3G. The price tag is very hight though it’s only a question of time. I will simply wait until the first wave is through. It might take a couple of months but it doesn’t matter; sooner or later the prices will drop to a reasonable height.

unlock = only prepaid cards etc for mobistar or full unlock with all sims?

for all the countires? because i think orange did unlock only for france? is that right?
