HI iphoneinator,
according to my sources, when you receive the iphone it will have been activated in the store but the full activation will have to happen in itunes when you are at home. So it will be a mixed solution

********************************************************************************************
hey multi (im guessing you wrote this i couldnt find it) one more question:
on the guide apple posted at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109 where they explain how to upgrade your existing iphone to an iphone 3g, on number 4 it says that when you plug your iphone into itunes it will ask you "restore from backup or setup as new phone" just like the first iphone says. does this mean theyre will be a way to activate it at home?
