iWol is a native iPhone application that allows you to wake up computers connected on a lan, better known as Wake-On-LAN. I won’t go into detail to what WOL is, but you can read all about it here. The iPhone native WOL client let’s you remotely start your pc from your iPhone. The application is very easy. When you start it you must enter the name, hostname (dns-name), mac-address, port and enable/disable the broadcast over the LAN. Once you’ve done this you can easily remotely wake up your pc at home by the touch of a button.

1) Locate and install the application.

3) Run the app

4) Tapp the add computer and fill in the details (name you can chose, hostname is the dns-name, mac is the mac-address, port and enable or disable LAN broadcast.

5) Once you have added your device, go back to the begin screen tap on your computer and it will ask you to send the wol command.

This little app is available in the Installer.app through the iSpazio source, see our sources page.
