Sketches is probably one of the first app’s that became very popular on our iPhones and iPod touches.
Untill now i didn’t have the time yet to have a quick look at the app.
The developers have released the latest update (version 07b4), so this gives me the perfect excuse to have a mini-review.
The application allows you to draw on the screen, select a picture from the photo album or shoot a photo to draw on top of it.
It also has the ability to use pencils and colors to draw all sort of shapes.
You can save your work to the photo library (so that you can synchronize back to your computer), send to a mail address or send it to your twitter account!
You can even erase your drawing by shaking your iPhone, as if it were an etch-a-sketch!

1) Locate and install the app.

2) On opening of the app, you will see the blank drawing screen. On top you have 3 icons.
The first one let’s you take a snapshot (picture), the second one let’s you use a picture from your photo albums, and the third brings you to the setup screen.
The setup screen doesn’t have much options:
You can select the stationary (sketch, notepad, graph) and enable you to save the sketch on exit.

3) Let’s go to the editing options. On the bottom of your screen the first 3 let you control your sketch creation.
The first one let’s you go back 1 step.
The second let’s you chose your color and pencil size.
The third let’s you select your shape (line, box, oval, arrow line, filled box, filled oval)

4) The fourth tab let’s you send your picture.
You can export it to your photo album, mail it to someone or upload it to twitter !!

5) The last tap/icon is your trashbin, press that one to delete your current sketch. One extra little feature is the possibility to wipe all your changes by just shaking your iPhone or iPod touch.
