Navizon is quite a nice tool if you’d like to be traceable everywhere ..
I personally still prefer to have some privacy once in a while. But with all the tools that are coming out for my iPhone i notice that getting a little bit privacy is increasingly getting more of an exception.
Navizon is a tool that let’s you see where your friends are, and also let’s your friends see where you are.

So how does it work? The iphone has had a location service built in since firmware version 1.1.3. The service works by mapping the cell antennas to a known database on the web. By mapping 2 or more antennas you can triangulate your position pretty good, although in my region, it appears to be off by some 100meters.

Navizon uses that feature in our iPhone and uploads that location to there server, by doing this, you can become visible to your friends or to the whole world if you like.

But let’s have a look at the app and see how it works.

1) Go to the network location in your installer and select Navizon GPS.

2) Let’s run the app and see what we can achieve with it. The first time you start the app, you will be given the choice to create an account. It’s free so click yes.

3) Go back to the app on your iPhone after registering and add your account. After entering your information you will be brought to the first screen. Here you have the option to enable the Navizon bar in your Maps app and you can chose to appear visible or not. You can also add buddy’s here.

4) Press the locate me now button to open your maps app and see your location. The navizon bar let’s you find your buddies, enable the tracking of your location and go to the settings.

5) Let’s see our buddies. And get directions to them via google maps.

6) There’s one thing you have to do to get yourself visible to your buddies. Everytime you get a request, you have to activate it via the website of Navizon, else you won’t be visible to your buddys.
