While most of us are waiting for the public beta release of uShow, Dream Catcher didn’t want to wait any longer for a video recording app.
Today they released iPhone video recorder 1.1.

Let’s check what the features are.
The iPhone video recorder is capable of recording video at 15fps in 3 video modes (best performance at 320*460, max picture size 320*416 and on the fly(very low frame rate). After recording the app compresses the video in MP4 formate and a file of about 1hour will take about 60mb space.

The recording is really easy. You start the app and press the record button.. after you have done your recording press the stop button. And the app will start encoding your video in the format you chose above.
After that it has encoded the video, you can select it and chose to e-mail, play or delete it.

1) To install go to the iPhone Cake section in your installer.

2) Let’s run the app and have a look at the options. Here you can set the volume apmlifier, the video mode (encoding) and the option to auto-encode after your filming.

3) Let’s record something and see the screens for that. After your recording it encodes the file. Once the encoding is finished, it brings you back to the original screen where you can tap the movie and select one of the following options (playback, e-mail, rename or delete the file)

There are some downsides to the app:

1-you need to pay for it
2-the video quality isn’t ok

If you really need to make movies on your iPhone and you can’t wait for uShow, then i recommend this app, if you can wait, then i’ll recommend to wait.
