You don't need to restore, if your phone is unlocked all you have to do is go through the unlocking procedure again, this will not erase anything from your phone it will keep your contacts and whatever applications you alrady have in your phone it will only repair the corrupted files that are keeping your phone icon not to work, I just fixed mine last night I used quickpwn2.2 program to do this.

Ok, My iPhone has been jailbroken and was running just fine for a while. Then I started downloading third-party apps from Cydia. The only ones i got were some ringtones, Cycorder, and winterboard with one theme, iComplete. Lately, i took of the theme, but everythime i try to open the phone icon, the num pad will pop up, lag there for 5-10 seconds, then return to the springboard. When i accept calls, the green box shows up at the top of the springboard that say "click here to return to call" but when i click it, it doesnt do anything. Ive tried uninstalling all of the third party apps, and when that didnt work, i tried putting the theme back on my phone. Still nothing
The problem is annoying, and restoring my phone isn't an option for me.
Any advice?

Hi Rick,

I think you might need a restore.
The procedure to get in to restore mode is as follows.

1) Turn off your iphone
2) Keep holding the Power and home button, the iphone should now boot.
3) When you see the apple logo, release the power button but KEEP holding the home button.
4) Your itunes should now see your iphone connected in restore mode.

If you don't succeed, gime a yell and i'll give another option.
